Today on my drive home I noticed the sun heading towards the horizon, all day there have been layers of cloud and the position of the sun added to the layered effect.  To emphasise the layers in the clouds I needed a simple foreground that would not detract from the sky.

I pulled up on the cliff over the ocean and put a 200mm lens on my camera and photographed some off-shore rocks.  I ended up with layers of sea and clouds.
