A photo walk

A photo walk

For the past year and a half I have been teaching photography courses from my studio. These courses run weekly for 10 weeks, I currently have five classes running.

My Sunday class is made up of students that have all been on previous courses with me, some multiple times.  In yesterdays Sunday class we were supposed to do some astro photography, however as often happens the sky clouded over so we went to plan B a photo walk in town.

Even though town was very quiet, it was a Sunday night after all, there was still plenty to shoot.  I have been enjoying taking my camera out at night, pushing the ISO up to 6400 and shooting handheld images, things seem different shooting at night.

The image below is of a couple on skateboards who gave us a wry smile as we photographed them as they skated past.  I was using a 24mm lens (on a full frame camera) so the dude in the front was quite close as he came by

The next image is an abstract image shot through a glass roof which showed the building through the glass as well as the reflection below.

And the last image is of a puddle, I love reflections and the way that the water ran down the cracks in the cobblestones.

If you want to learn more about my classes just click on the classes tab at the top of the page and submit the form and I will get back to you with new class details.
