The Dancer

The Dancer

Following on from the photos that I have ben taking recently I had a dancer in for a shoot.  I found this to be a bit more challenging as I was unsure what to expect and had less control over how she was going to move in relation to the lighting.

The shoot was fun and I treated it like some of the theatre shoots that I have done, that is when I saw a movement that I liked I got her to repeat it until I feel that I had the shot.

When I started I had a clear vision of what I wanted, I wanted a very light high key image which is what I produced below.

But after working some more on the photos I came up with an alternate version (shown below) that, while not meeting my original vision, I thinks works really well and now I am not sure what I like best.  So which one do you like best?

I like the high key better, seems a bit more heavenly. great work.

I too prefer the lighter image of the first work and the posture of the dancer.
